In 1636 Oliver Cromwell moved to Ely. There have been many paranormal events at the house. In 1998 a Guide felt a draught around his feet and reallised his shoelaces were undone. Every time he retied them it happened again.
In 1979 a woman woke in one of the bedrooms and said she was in the same room but at a different time. The door was in a different place.

Ghost Sighting Cambridgeshire The old ferry boat inn

The Old Ferry Boat Inn at Holywell, on the river Ouse, is one of the oldest in England, built in the Anglo Saxon times. It is said to be haunted by the ghost of Juliet Tewsley, who was born in the 11th century. She hanged herself from a tree beside the river after seeing her boyfriend in the braces of another woman.

The Caxton Gibbet stands on a small knoll a mile and a half from the village of Caxton near a crossroads. Here criminals were gibbeted - imprisoned in an iron cage hanging from a gibbet until they died.
In the 18th century the landlord of the inn (now the Yim Houde Chinese restaurant) decided to rob three travellers. After the men had gone to bed, he went into the room and started going through their belongings. On man woke up and the landlord killed him. he then killed the other two and through the bodies down the well. He was caught and hung from the Gibbet.
Footstep have been heard walking from the room to the site of the old well.
