Sleeping in car next to the Gold Rush Cemetery 10:30pm, July 11, 2009. Heard footsteps coming up the gravel road, intermittently, until they were right next to the car, but no person or animal was there (it was still light out and I could see fine). Then a minute later I heard a loud, fast car engine hauling up the road - but I didn't see a car either. We slept elsewhere.
