On a tour of west coast Scotland driving through more remote part of Glencoe sometime early 90's (can't remember the exact date - I was living in Aberdeen at the time), quite a few miles from the nearest habitation, I saw a fairly wild looking man, looked determined and angry, striding through the heath about 5 or 10 metres off the roadside. He had long greying hair, about waste length, dressed in an old fashioned kilt, not the skirt type but full wrap around blanket thing. I had the impression he was youngish, maybe mid-late 20's but looked older, weatherbeaten. He was bare footed, and carrying a bloody big sword over his shoulder. Following about 10 metres behind him was a young woman similarly dresssed, also bare foot. She had a distressed look on her face and obviously struggling to keep up with the man. The weather was overcast and light rain. My first impression on seeing them was slight shock, then thought how uncomfortable they must be out there in the cold and rain. After a moments thought, I thought I must have stumbled across a movie set, or re-enactment of some sort, so I slowed down, but there was no-one else around within view at all. If these two weren't ghosts (and I don't believe in ghosts) then it's certainly one of the weirdest things I've ever seen. I only contacted this website because for some reason I recently had a very vivid dream about this occurrence, in which someone else had seen exactly the same thing, and a newspaper story was written about it. Wierd. In the dream newspaper story the ghost was mamed as one Gary McGowan. Thats my story.
